I tried 0.5.6 just 2 minutes ago and have to admit that I don't like the new 
kcontrol icon.  Especially the background is very hmmm "noisy" and therefor 
not easy to recognize - too many dots etc. IMHO. In addition I don't know how 
to interpret the new Show desktop icon - looks a little bit (because of the 
yellow edges) like a case - but you're an the right way (does it really have 
to be 3D?, maybe a version without perpective would be better.)

Anyway, keep up the good work!
