The KDE community proudly announces the first Tech Preview of KDE Frameworks 
5, an effort to modularize KDElibs into a set of Qt Addons ready for Qt 5.

This technology gives Qt developers a powerful set of libraries developed 
over 15 years of KDE experience; and form the base of future KDE technology 
like Plasma Workspaces and the KDE Applications.

A final release is planned for the first half of 2014. Two frameworks, 
KArchive and Threadweaver, are ready for serious use already.
