Name: KMPlayer Version: 0.9.1a Type: Video Application Depend: KDE 3.1.x License: LGPL Homepage: http://kmplayer.kde.org More Info: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=10004 Description: Video player plugin for Konqueror using MPlayer, Xine or GStreamer. Like MPlayer, the Xine and GStreamer backend are out-of-process players. So it will not crash konqueror when Xine or GStreamer crashes. Also a simple tool for video playing and recording. Supports many playlist formats, including podcast RSS/Atom, plays all links directly from the internet. Other specialties are DVD, VCD and VDR support. Changelog: Changes since version 0.9.1 - Fix that switching channels w/ VDR sometimes stopped the backend - Fix saving playlist looses cdata sections (if any) and don't normalize them - Fix application window stays hidden when fullscreen window closed with ALT_F4 - Fix parser closing root's parent object when reading a XML file in an existing playlist (ie. a playlist item points to a broken XML playlist file) - Fix small chance of crashing by the intro movie when choosing another source very fast (eg. when having, and using, a shortcut for VDR directly) - Remove hardcode Esc shortcut to escape fullscreen mode, it clashes with canceling playlist editing - Workaround bug in KListView when clearing the playlist while it's editing an item, by clearing Focus on any child widget. Also move focus back to ViewArea when an item is executed Compared with the KMPlayer-0.9.0c version, there are improvements all over the place. Highlights are XML export of playlist, shorter and cooler begin/end animations, position and resizing tweaks, network bandwidth settings, playlist/infowindow/statusbar controls for plugin, audio/subtitles within a stream support, playtime timer added in statusbar and search feature for playlist. Of course bug fixes, better support for ASX and SMIL. 0.9.x versions are the begin of playlist support, but trying very hard not to dublicate the ones found in the audio players and kaffeine. Current idea is using a subset of SMIL as a document format. This means no list of playable entries, but more like a presentation. I'm open for ideas for a good editor :-). _______________________________________________ kde-announce mailing list kde-announce@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-announce
