At the moment private activities aren't supported at all anymore.
they have quite structural problems not really solvable. they may get back some
time as a way more lightweight solution, while for more complex usecases only
multiuser makes any sense, but for now all those bugs should be removed since
they are about a feature that is not here anymore and not going back soon.
