in any case, assuming i'm thinking of the same thing you were looking at when
writing this: it's the application itself which is stuffing all that "extra
information" into its window title.

Peek shows whatever is the window's title. it could instead just show the
application name, but that's often even less interesting to the user (and
requires them to know the name of the app). alternatively, when compositing is
on, it could simply show no text at all and we could rely on the user to
navigate by thumbnail alone. (probably not great for accessibility, but then
very little is on Plasma Active at the moment).

this is an issue that probably requires some discussion. it would probably be
better for these kinds of issues to be discussed first on the mailing list and
then logging a bug report for the actual action item.
