> Viewing whatever page with Konqueror, if I middle click on the page and there
is any
selection inside the clipboard it will open the URL in the location bar.

No, it will try to open the string in your clipboard in your current view, the
location bar is
just displaying the result, the location of your current view. Whatever
protocol is
applicable will be used (think http, ftp, file etc. and web shortcuts like gg,
dmoz, atw
etc.), and if none is the string will be sent to google for doing a search for
it.
"middle-click paste the url into the location bar feature" is what you get when
you do
just that, mmb clicking into your location bar will paste the clipboard content
into your
location bar, nothing else, just like mmb clicking will paste the clipboard
content into
any other text interface you use.******

Well then... isn't that confusing?

I'm not asking them to remove a "feature" from existance, I am asking the
developers to put a non standard, highly unexpeted, dangerous, utterly
confusing, WORK LOOSING (oops my form that I started filling out was wiped out
by one measly mouse click!!!!! (I have an urge to call you a name... but am
filling it with this) (rem this sentance continues with asking developers to
put ... ("feature") in some advanced tab under Konqueror behavior.

I know of no other application that blows work away so quickly (some websites
don't let you go back!!), is a security hasard (sends stuff to the internet...
and I guess if it's not a URl it sends it to a SEARCH ENGINE IN PLAIN
TEXT!!!!, and leaves the user wondering what the heck happened... and that a
cat can do in one step!

I guess kamil is the next closest.. a distant 2nd... with all of the single
button short cut keys... and the bug that KDE applications keep focus when
switching to a gtk application... and typing a command can DELETE all of your
email (the command had a y in it... luckilly it went to the trash can rather
than deleting it... I shudder what would have happended if my caps lock was on..
Oh, it also didn't send email half the time... with no error messages, and
everything else worked... (I remember something about strict email address
formatting... that is rediculous and wrong, I don't want my email to say it
went to joe --rant ended--

(middle mouse click paste makes sence in umix on text fields ONLY (where the
text cursor is shown(or mouse becomes I cursor..))

(I mean what I'm used to.. and what other people I know expect/majority of the
people use...(windows mozilla, macintosh)
and they all have the middle mouse button scrolls the page feature)

anyway... call me up or something 509 332 7697 I want to help, and flaming
isn't exacly helping... but i'm on fire man.!
