Look into the Sphinx engine from Carnegie Mellon. It's the grandfather of all engines, the one ViaVoice and Harc and others are based on. It runs on most Unices and has a BSD-style license. However, don't expect anything as idiot-proof as ViaVoice. http://www.speech.cs.cmu.edu/sphinx - Milo Hyson CyberLife Labs, LLC -----Original Message----- From: kde-request@lists.netcentral.net [mailto:kde-request@lists.netcentral.net]On Behalf Of Marc Meier Sent: Thursday, July 05, 2001 10:59 AM To: KDE general mailing list Subject: ViaVoice in KDE IIRC the KDE founder talked about complex integration of speach recognition into KDE early this year. Is there something like xvoice or GVoice for ViaVoice that works with KDE/Qt-apps?
