It would be quite nice if KDE did something like GNOME - if one of the 
system-critical components (i.e. kicker, kdesktop, krootwm, kwin) dies, then 
the user should be asked if s/he wants to restart it.  Either that or it 
should do it automatically - but if that happens, then you'd have to put in 
some sort of protection so it wouldn't try to spawn a process more than, say, 
3 times within a certain amount of time.

I wouldn't think this would be terribly difficult, considering that there is 
KDEInit and DCOP around... but then I'm not a KDE programmer :).
