Thank you for the nice clarification.  I am SLOWLY teaching myself
programming
but unless someone else (easily) beats me to the punch, I will have to look
into porting a copy of gimp to use qt instead of gtk, giving it a nice
kde interface that will fit in with whatever kde theme I go with...if for no
other reason than because I would use it myself, it would be part of a 
learning experience (and likely a complex one at that), and because I can.
