Question that popped up:

How base-installation-dependent are the kcontrol modules? It would be great
if such modules (as well as kicker applets) could easily be distributed
seperately. 

It would allow for a quicker release of 2.0 because it would be easy to add
the modules later on - eventually with a Helix type system telling you there
are new modules/applets and whether you'd like to get them. But that's KDE
2.1.. ;-)
