     I'll second that - my girlfriend installed Mandrake by herself, with no
prior knowledge of Unix, and the mountpoints were the only thing that threw
her.  I refused to help her, and she finally found the "Default - Do it for
me" button, which is not obviously labeled.  If you do a standard install,
it shouldn't even prompt you for mountpoints.

     Now, I tried to drag this back to KDE, but alas, we're way off topic
here.  Interesting discussion though.  Anybody know of a more appropriate
venue to continue?  A good general Linux mailing list?  A distro list?
