I know full well about rpmfind.net, which I used to get various RPMs of KPackage... however, none of them worked, despite the presence of all requested files... it eventually said that it could not correctly load libpopt.so.0, which was odd, as it was there, and was eventually linked to properly from a version I compiled from source... Just to say, KPackage is working just fine now, after a right palaver trying to get hold of the necessary library libpopt.blahblah...     "They should either come down and say hello, or they should go away."   Sam BC -----Original Message----- From: kde-request@lists.netcentral.net [mailto:kde-request@lists.netcentral.net]On Behalf Of Ron Stodden Sent: 29 February 2000 02:23 To: KDE general mailing list Subject: Re: KPackage "Kaplan, Paul" wrote: > > I had similar problems with the tarball of kpackage 1.3.6 or 7 (I don't > remember which) on RH6.0. Log into http://www.rpmfind.net and you will find many downloadable rpms of different versions of kpackage. If you have a Pentium machine, try the latest mdk (Mandrake) version, since it is optimised for Pentium, i586. > Anyone got any advice or pointers to getting the darn thing working... if I > have to use GnoRPM once more I will go mad as it is so long-winded and > KPackage was lovely when I used it before... -- Regards, Ron.
