The point from a UI perspective is that it is possible to let users edit
menu contents without having to start up _any_ separate application, be it
kmenuedit, kfm or something else.  Windows 98 also lets you edit the Start
menu using Windows Explorer, but I find the direct approach much easier
and more intuitive.
