I use KDE (and currently=20 attempting the herculian task to port Windows DAS software -with the = minefield of proprietary libraries=20 (using matchmaker AMCC5933 to Linux/KDE). Linux implementations on = application-tailored cpu's (i,e, some with integrated pci controller etc) for wearable and = instrumentation applications would certainly=20 make for easy and interesting instrumentation and pda applications. = Being so impressed with KDE I hope KDE it will have a part to play in this emerging area of linux = implementation. =20 I thus hope the rest of this message is not out of place here but ...=20 I would like to bring to the attention of the KDE developer groups = linux-ce where some exiting ports of linux to traditional=20 windows-ce (cpu's) and devices are underway. As a fan of linux and = KDE ,=20 I beleive there there is probably a need for input on GUI from arguably = the premier linux-GUI group:: (a) the main cite is www.linuxce.org =20 however only on the archive of mailing show the recent interesting = developments. These are on (b) www.linuxce.org/mailing-list/linux-devel/archives/mailist.html Then there are also two recent win-ce devices (using a RISC cpu a = version fo which linux has just been ported to) and thus of much potential to linux-ce (and hopefully kde)=20 (c) a panel pc at http://www.hitachi.com/hpc/ (d) a notebook http://www.compaq.com/products/handhelds/8000/=20 regards sibu ------=_NextPart_000_0025_01BEEFB7.B328C600 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
