Hi,

I recently installed KDE 1.1.1 on my Slackware distribution, kernel 2.2.6,
and I have a bit of a problem with using the wallpaper utility. When I put
a picture on the background of the desktop it looks horrible (well, with
some imagination you can reconstruct the original picture). I have this
problem using GIF's as well as the JPEG-format. What amazes me is that
none of the other programs (xv, GIMP, even xpaint) messes the picture up
like the KDE wallpaper utility does.
