sure, it is an extension of QT library. 
I have it in /usr/local/qt/extensions/imageio (you have to have sources
installed). 
Simply $(QTDIR)/configure QT and then go into that directory and run
make && make install. I am not sure, that make produce the static
library (libqimigio.a) but the dynamic *.so wil be created, i hope.
