Dear KDE  Enthusiasts.

For those of you using Red Hat Linux 5.1/5.2 i386, rpm packages for
KDE-1.1.1pre1 prerelease are now available at
 http://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/1.1.1pre1/distribution/rpm

Please test them , and send any comments to:
 <redhat-rpms@kde.org>

Read the docs README.what_you_need and
readme_redhat_rpms(.txt, .html)
for further information.

alpha and sparc RPMS for RedHat 5.1/5.2 will be made available later.
i386 RPMS for RedHat-5.0 (and 4.2, if anyone requests them) will be made available
later.

ANNOUNCE: KDE-1.1.1pre1 rpms for RedHat 5.1/5.2:
The KDE Packagers (<redhat-rpms@kde.org>)
have made the  new  RPM packages for KDE-1.1.1pre1.
New features:  (In addition to the fixes in 1.1.1):
-- kdf-0.5.1 is added as kdeutils-diskfree,
-- ktalk-0.2.7 is added to kdenetwork-talk, and the package
      configures the talk daemon when it is installled.
-- kclock-0.6 is added to kdeutils-tools
-- kpackage-1.2.1 is added as kdeadmin-kpackage.

The Packages are built  using qt-1.42, as in KDE-1.1.
It is not  necessary to upgrade qt.

Please try to test these RPMs and send comments to
redhat-rpms@kde.org
