Hi there,

i got kirc a while ago and made n installed it unter my kde+qt1.3x.

In the meantime i updated kde and qt (now 1,4x). When i try to start my kirc
it gives the following error:

QPopupMenu: (unnamed) Popup has invalid menu item
QPopupMenu: (unnamed) Popup has invalid menu item
QPopupMenu: (unnamed) Popup has invalid menu item
QPopupMenu: (unnamed) Popup has invalid menu item
QPopupMenu: (unnamed) Popup has invalid menu item
QPopupMenu: (unnamed) Popup has invalid menu item
X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
  Major opcode:  2
IOT trap/Abort

Ok, i think binary incompatibilities can happen with every library.

I tried to recompile the kirc sources. But that gives me this error:

c++  -c -O2 -Wall -I/opt/kde/include -I/usr/local/qt/include
-I/usr/X11R6/include -DHAVE_CONFIG_H  -I.. -I. irc.cpp
/opt/kde/include/kapp.h: In function 	nt main(int, char **)':
/opt/kde/include/kapp.h:561: method tatic class QString
KApplication::kdedir()' is protected
irc.cpp:141: within this context
make[2]: *** [irc.o] Error 1

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory /root/test/kirc-0.9.5-04'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

Is there a newer version of kirc? I could not find any.

Help please!
