Hi folks ...

I read this thread with great delight ... these are really serious thoughts
and ideas. Thanx.

I want to pick up three points:

1. Project Site
I already suggested a long time ago to have a page, where all the projects
are listed. This would enable all the interested users to have a permanent
source for the follow up of the project's developement.
I heard a few times of a project which never appeared in the mailing lists
again ...

2. Hardware
I really believe that there are many persons and companies out there who
would love to contribute something ... this may be money, hardware,
software, accounts ... whatever.
We should provide a market place where everyone could offer his hardware
... maybe this could even be a forum for companies who need certain
solutions to find the programmers who will be able to do so ... ah, yes: I
know that this will be probably impossible - but one never knows ;-)

3. KDelphi
I know several programmers who simply stated: "I will be programming for
KDE/Linux as soon as there is a Delphi for Linux ..." - this has IMHO a
very crucial point: There is an urgent need of a (Rapid Application)
Developement Tool, which is at least as powerful as comparable Tools ...
This is the key to more and more powerful applications! Big companies made
it before: They are giving away their tools for free ... and this is the
least problem we have ;-)
We shouldn't wait until every company found out that Linux is quite
superior - we should get the developers with a breathtaking tool!

That's it for now ...

Vince
