My sound card is a sound blaster pro compatible, its settings are 220, = 5, 1, 4 My distribution is RedHat 5.1 I type sndconfig, and put in my settings. Then it tells me that it's = going to play a sound to verify my settings, I press OK. Then it tells = me that "an error was encountered running the modprobe program," then = the program quits, and I still can't play sound under Linux.
