You make some good points, but neither can be called elementary to
maintain, which is to be expected, they are complex systems doing a
complex job.  However, the true measure of an operating systems worth
in it's reliability and uptime.  I think everyone with experience of
both Linux and NT will agree that Linux is the more reliable.
