     Hi:

     From what i see in the error you get the problem is that kdedir is
protected, one solution is to make it public... You do know about all the
public, private and protected C++ stuff, right ??? just when it says
"protected:" in the header(.h file) change it for "public:" or just make
public
kdedir()
