I think this should be supported. The spec [1] says among other things: "(1) An administrator can create an=20 $topdir/.Trash directory. The permissions on this directories should permit= =20 all users who can trash files at all to write in it.; and the =E2=80=9Cstic= ky bit=E2=80=9D in=20 the permissions must be set, if the file system supports it." Where $topdir refers to the top most directory of the network or removable= =20 volume. In your case it might have been a problem of the directory on the NFS mount= =20 not having the "sticky bit". Try removing /home/myuser/some-mount/.Trash,=20 creating it as root with write permissions for the user or group and settin= g=20 the "sticky bit", e.g. chmod a+t /home/myuser/some-mount/.Trash Cheers, Kevin =2D-=20 Kevin Krammer, KDE developer, xdg-utils developer KDE user support, developer mentoring --nextPart9443779.Mab1h6LL4B Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQBMhJAWnKMhG6pzZJIRAuX8AJ4q7R0nOtu/xosBAVlDDO1pwlMtqACeNk5E 2i4E9LFxT10jIYD/eAcFjLQ= =C88G -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart9443779.Mab1h6LL4B-- --===============0333708191== Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline ___________________________________________________ This message is from the kde mailing list.
