Hi,

To be honest, I don't quite understand what the 'desktop search' is. Is it to
build indexes for my files/documents in specified folders, to let me do some
search?

I launched strigi daemon and nepomuk symantic desktop. However, I don't know
how to query a specified string in a certain document. No frontend
applications for this, and I tried to use

strigicmd -t sopranobackend -d <folder_I_want_to_search> <my_query_string>

However, the result was not in the folder I wanted to search.

Could anyone please explain how to use such "semantic desktop" and "desktop
search"?

Thanks for your answers in advance.

Franklin
