Nevermind the URL (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=452053) since I am not fully awake! The solution for me that worked: Simply changing in /usr/bin/startkde file: LD_BIND_NOW=true start_kdeinit --new-startup +kcminit_startup to LD_BIND_NOW=true start_kdeinit_wrapper --new-startup +kcminit_startup Yeehaw! OK, so it is a known issue and a temporary fix. Do I assume future kdelibs4c2a package upgrade will have the fix and replace this edited file. Thank you!
