Hi:
Thanks, but I should have said that I am using kubuntu 7.04
I put the following in my ~/.bash_profile:
PATH=/home/bin:$PATH
export PATH
## I had previous put this in my ~/.bash_rc
Now when I open the dialogue, I get no error
message, but the script doesn't execute.
## Here's my path
echo $PATH
/home/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games
## script works fine when I run it from the bash command line
## /etc/profile is as follows:
if [ "$PS1" ]; then
if [ "$BASH" ]; then
PS1='\u@\h:\w\$ '
if [ -f /etc/bash.bashrc ]; then
. /etc/bash.bashrc
fi
else
if [ "`id -u`" -eq 0 ]; then
PS1='# '
else
PS1='$ '
fi
fi
fi
##
regards
Tim
