Please add your comments there.
The ultimate cause of various font problems appears to be Qt and/or
FontConfig.
In theory, you could fix this in FontConfig. But, I can't figure out
why this doesn't work:

<test qual="any" name="family">
<string>Luxi Mono</string>
</test>
<edit name="spacing" mode="assign">
<string>monospace</string>
</edit>
</match>
It would help if just a little more info was available and a debug
option for: "fc-cache" would help.
