Hi
I have a problem since I installed KDE 3 in my computer over KDE 2.1.1
befor that , the sound was working fine. but after updating ( with few
crashes ) the sound want work. I don't mean ARTS or any other
sound-server because
when I used sndconfig again it detect the sound card but when try to
play test sound it's says :

sox: unable to reset OSS driver, possibly accessing an invalid
device/file.

so what's the problem ?

NOTE : the sound work find under windows , no problem with hardware.
