in kde2 (all flavours) if I selected some text in an xterm
(say http://www.kde.org )
kliper would react to that and allow me to open the selected text
(http://www.kde.org) in a browser of choice (i.e. konqueror).

in kde3 this does not happen.
I have to Alt-F2 (aka run) and paste the URL in the run window to get what
I want ..

And osmetimes, iso pasting the text I just selected, I actually past some
previous selected (clipped ?) bit of text.

Doing the same in a konsole window works as expected *(that i, klipper
notces the text being an URL and offers to start Konqueror for me).

Any ideas ?
