You can get the KDE3 branch of KOffice 1.1 
through anonymous cvs.
(see http://www.kde.org/anoncvs.html for details)
To check out this branch you do:
#> cvs co -rKOFFICE_1_1_BRANCH_KDE3 koffice

This is the latest from 1.1 ported to KDE3.
There will be a new KOffice release after KDE3, featuring the new KOffice 1.2
