Hi Tom,

I am afraid, there is no better way. But I am not sure.
What I know is this:
in KWord, selecting does not directly copy the text, you have to press CTRL-C
in Konqueror, you have button to clear URL, so you can paste new one easily
in Konqueror, you can paste URL directly "into" the page, and it is opened
in VIM, I have no problem deleteing text prior to inserting
so in Konsole.

As I don't really use other programs (apart from KNode and KMail), don't know
of other ways to solve paste&replace.

Anyway, if you get used to
select old text
delete it
select new text
paste it

instead of Windows style

select new text
copy-it
select old text
paste it

it's just not any harder and works OK.

Cheers,
Lada
