I think there *might* be, I just haven't overcome it yet :-(
It has something to do with the various names that konq can start under and 
also whether the size/position was saved from the taskbar or from a profile 
and also the default in the rc file.ie:
kfmclient openprofile filemanagement
konqueror
kfmclient openprofile webbrowsing
konqueror /home/andrew
konqueror http:/kde.org etc etc etc  No wonder it doesn't know what its doing.

I have a dual-athlon-1.8Ghz that is running this as a quadratic-array with x 
to the nth variable matrices but it *still* hasn't come up with the answer 
and its been going since kde2.0.
