Subject: [kc-kde] Two questions

I am thinking of generating a changelog for the week covered in the kde-cvs
lists. There are two formats, on just a list sorted by developer, the other a
more complicated (and possibly more useful) format, where each module is
listed separately. The tools are cvs2html and cvs3ch.pl. For an example of
cvs2html, http://cvs.sslug.dk/cvs2html/example1/utils.html
For an example of cvs2cl, http://www.red-bean.com/cvs2cl/ChangeLog-basic.txt
I probably won't get it done for this week, but I wanted to put it out for
discussion. I would think a snapshot of the development for a fixed period
would be useful, and give readers a place to see what is happening. I know I
read the changelogs in the kernel development, even though I don't know what
half of it is referring to.
Any suggestions or ideas?
A second question. Is there any way of finding the archived threads from the
messages I get when I subscribe to the list? The archives are indexed by a
number, which doesn't correspond to anything I get locally. Right now I
search using the lists.kde.org search, which in kde-cvs particularly is,
ummm.., lacking. And rather time consuming.
Thanks
Derek Kite
