Thank you very much for taking the time to help!! You are absolutely right. After \
changing the font from Dotum to Arial, the backslash is a backslash again. Also thank \
you for referencing the blog article that gives some interesting history behind the \
issue.

I guess you are using a Korean font. Try changing the font for
textare. [Utilities]>[Global Options...]>[Text Area]>[Text font]
