Unfortunately I only have a vague memory of this now.   The machine where
this happened has been in storage for quite some time.   I think it was
with the gnu java re.   I no longer reproduce this bug.  I use the Oracle
version of java now.

While running jedit under Mint 17.0 Cinnamon, I find myself back at the
login screen. It is as if I am being logged out. This only happens while
running jedit. I am using jedit 5.3.1. I have tried installs via the
Software Manager (deb package) and using the java installer (jar) available
on the site. The problem persists in either case.

While running jedit under Mint 17.0 Cinnamon, I find myself back at the login screen. \
It is as if I am being logged out.  This only happens while running jedit.  I am \
using jedit 5.3.1.   I have tried installs via the Software Manager (deb package) and \
using the java installer (jar) available on the site.  The problem persists in either \
case.
