Summary: Font styles / antialiasing

Initial Comment:
This may be a Java or Mac issue but it's irritating:

Setup:
1) Mac OS X, Apple's Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 3
2) Tried both jEdit 4.3.2 and current trunk

Procedure:
1) Turn off antialiasing and set font to "Monospaced"
2) Open a file with syntax highlighting that includes font styles (bold or italic)
3) Font styles are ignored: everything is plain.

Both conditions in 1) are necessary: if antialiasing is set to standard or subpixel, \
or the font is changed, the font styles are rendered correctly. Maybe antialiasing \
should be turned on by default on OS X?

Message:
I can reproduce the problem too. Probably a JVM bug
