Summary: Project Viewer opens new file in old project directory
Initial Comment:
jEdit at r13044, with no updates available to the buffer list per the Plugin Manager.
When I change projects via the dropdown list provided by Project Viewer, it has \
recently started leaving an empty file "Untitled-1" open in the same directory as the \
last file with which I was working (last active buffer).
In my opinion, the behavior should be that an Untitled buffer should only be open if \
specifically requested by the user (e.g. Ctrl+N) or if no files exist in the project \
(as per last save or something).

I'll bet this is exactly what it is, then. I'm trying to play a "tester"
role for jEdit so I svn up -r HEAD roughly every couple of weeks and
dist-deb. This (currently) coarsely translates to 4.3pre15. Thus, I
report this now. "Just doing my job, sir." :-)

Which version of jEdit are you using?
I haven't seen this behavior at all using everything up to pre14. pre15
(which I'm not using except for testing) has a new "buffer sets" feature
that may cause weirdness until all the bugs are sorted out.

Hmm, this has gotten worse since 5 days ago, or I've noticed it more.
Order of events to recreate bad behavior:
* When I open jEdit, my last project gets loaded. Not sure if it's
important, but project has "quite a few" files open (more than 10 or so),
scattered in different subdirectories.
* I use the dropdown list of the Project Viewer plugin to change projects.
No problem. All old project files close, and new project files open.
Again, more than just a couple files are opened.
* I change projects once more. Now I notice something weird. I have an
Untitled-1 buffer open, and sometimes one of the files in an active
textarea from my old project is still open.
What's even more disconcerting is that the BufferList plugin does *not*
show the still-open file from the old project, but it *is* in the dropdown
list that I have above each textarea.
If I close the Untitled-1 buffer, but leave the extra buffer open (that
doesn't show up in BufferList plugin), and quit-restart jEdit, the new
project loads properly, without the extra file.
I note that I am unable to recreate this when I switch back and forth
between small projects (test case of one or two files each).
