The default mirror that is chosen for new installations of jEdit never works. I \
always get connection refused. Whichever mirror it is, please make it not the default \
anymore and use something sane like easynews.

In fact it is set to NONE by default which of course will not work.
The "problem" is that it is that you cannot know which mirrors exist
basically. But as the mirrors are unlikely to change, I think we could set
it to some default value with more sense. I would suggest mesh, I normally
have very good speed with this mirror. It is just the
plugin-manager.mirror.id property in jedit.props that has to be set to a
sane value.
