You told it somewhere to "send all packets that i don't know where
they go out eth0", and that is exactly what ppp wants to be able to do
(since you don't have routing tables for the whole net on your machine
:)

you probably have 1.2.0.1 setup as a default gateway or such, try
removing that and see what happens.
