Hi Noel,

I have had a look into the new RemoteDelivery supporting multiple
gateways. I see that it delivers the message to
targetServers.iterator().next(). This means that if the first of the
gateways is always up, the rest of the gateways will never be used. It
would be nice if a load balancing algorithm was used (round robin or at
least random). What do you think?

Regards,

Diego

Objet : [ANN] James v2.2.0a1 test version

James v2.2.0a1 is a *test* build. This version is tentatively labelled
a
v2.2 instead of v2.1 because most of the changes now are to increase
functionality. The list of changes present in this test version
includes:

 - New Quota Matcher framework and fixed storage matcher
 - RemoteDelivery can now handle partial sends, so if there are
some successful addresses and some failures, it will transfer
the sucessful ones, and handle the failures separately.
 - Fixes to RemoteManager
 - Improved performance and resource utilization
 - New fast fail relay rejection using <authorizedAddresses> element
 - If using SMTP AUTH, <authorizedAddresses> is used to automatically
    authorize addresses
 - New RecipientIsRegex matcher
 - New AttachmentFileNameIs matcher
 - Improved support for character encoded subjects in mailing lists
 - RemoteDelivery supports multiple gateway servers.
 - RemoteDelivery increments the delivery error count per pass, not per
server.

More changes are planned, but we would like feedback on these changes.
The
new fast-fail mode is one of the most frequently requested features.

James v2.2.0a1 is available from
