hello and happy new year,

i am trying to set up the JacORB naming service.

the instructions are slightly vague.

could you please, please, please, please, please, clarify
just the steps to get this working.

i realize you are probably busy people, but any assistance
would be greatly appreciated.

i have been working with the visibroker orb for a year now and
am trying to use the jacorb on my own.

i did the following:
C:\CORBA\JacORB\bin>ant jaco
Searching for build.xml ...
Buildfile: C:\CORBA\JacORB\build.xml

jaco:
   [delete] Deleting: C:\CORBA\JacORB\bin\jaco
   [delete] Deleting: C:\CORBA\JacORB\bin\jaco.bat

i am on a win98 system

i have tried numerous ways and i keep getting
'File not found'

4.1 Running the Name Server
The JacORB name server is a process that needs to be started before the name
service can be accessed
by programs. Starting the name server ...

via a DOS batch file
ns.bat <filename> [<timeout>]
