What timzone are you in? Timestamps are not done in your local timezone, 
unless your local timezone is UTC. For example, I'm the US/Central 
timezone (UTC-6), so all my timestamps are 6 hours ahead of the system 
time. If I log in at 2:22:25 PM, my record.log says 20:22:25, which is 
24 hour format for 8:22:25 PM, which is 6 hours ahead of my timezone, 
which is UTC.

that should have read UTC - 6.
