hello

I'm configuring an IM and multiuser chat system for a
university using jabber.

I'm new to this system, so I have to ask you a few questions.

- Somewhere I read that MU-conference has support to
member only rooms, but I could not add a member to such a
room. I'd tried to follow the protocol but it doesn't
work. Could someone send me a working example of interaction
with the server so as to try it? In particular, i'm interested
in persistent member-only rooms.

- The university is particullary interested in using a
previous DB of their own, not only for authentication
but also for room persistence and membership. I will use kdb_sql
for that by I understand that you plan to change
the way you store things in MU-conference. Am i right?
Or you will continue to use the kdb interface? if not,
what? I ask this because i would like to use
  future versions of that component.

- Is xdb_sql intended to be used in conjuntion with
xdb_file? I tried to use both but there are certainly
  problems.

- I will try to give Oracle support to xdb_sql with a
short deadline (unixODBC does not have free Oracle support).
So i need to understand quickly some things about that
component and everything about the jabberd architecture that
  is related with this problem.
Could someone give me some clues?

Thanks

Felipe Madero
