I have a client with several.  One takes full routes from 2 providers.  It 
works, but the downside to public gated (other than the config syntax) is 
many BGP tuning features you take for granted with IOS are not available 
unless you upgrade to a gated commercial license.  Their later firmware 
revs now include zebra as an option.
