You are right, we need to test this more. I used to have a lot more equipment
before but not so much now. I can't help ya there.

I think it would be great that you send an email to the hostap ML about the
wpa_supp re-auth. It could be a problem with the AP being weird with the auth
and making things get delayed on the Re-Auth or Re-keying.

The driver itself doesn't really get or knows about all this authentication or
keying methods, it just passes the key and the supplicant should do the rest.
Roaming was worked in the latest versions of the driver but there wasn't
really a problem. Some more roaming options that were implemented with the 2.4
FW don't have the code as per 1.0.8, maybe once this is done it could improve
your connectivity? Look at bug 809.
