When you use git on an IPFire system for evaluating changes, do you create a local \
repository on the system that holds all the changes you do? If yes then at what level \
do you have the repository. I would thing / (root) would be too high with all sorts \
of weird files in /dev and /proc that you don't want to track. Or do you create a new \
repository at an appropriate location for the editing work you are planning to do.

Thanks for any help/advice on this.

Regards,
Adolf.
