Gerry and the IP-Filter list,

I figured out the hanging/sleeping problem. It wasn't ipfilter related after all, it \
                was a powerd and
/etc/power.conf issue. Solved by removing the autopoweroff function, which had been \
kicking in after 30 minutes of 'idle' time had been experienced by the machine.

Things are humming along well now and this morning the firewall was still happily \
passing packets...no reboot required.

I would still be interested in upgrading my ipfilter to a matched version! Does \
anyone have a Solaris 7 package around that isn't corrupt? I have a very minimal \
install of the OS and don't have all the necessary components to compile things \
myself.

Thanks for all the help with this! Sorry it was such a silly oversight on my part!

Cheers!
Ian
