What is /dev/bb.bo there for ? Are you running some weird serial interface
with PPP ?

In situations, such as this, the correct thing to do is "boot -sa".
The kernel will ask you for a bunch of things, including an input
consisting of a collection of pathnames like "/kernel /usr/kernel".
Enter all the paths in the order given except for "/usr/kernel".
Then when you get to single user mode, rm /usr/kernel/drv/ipf and
/usr/kernel/drv/ipf.conf

I'm not going to rule out that there is a problem with 2.5.1 - it's
pretty old enough now (i.e. you should upgrade :) that I don't have
any systems running it and it is likely something has crept in to
make it panic on 2.5.1. Have you tried 3.3.16 ?
