Hello,

i was able to install ipfilter 4.1.10 on centos 4. Started it via

[root@whoami ~]# service ipfilter start

it didn't complain anything until i did:

[root@whoami ~]# ipnat -l
openkmem:open: No such file or directory
[root@whoami ~]#

and

[root@whoami ~]# ipfstat -hi
openkmem:open: No such file or directory
[root@whoami ~]#

i can see that centos 4 has no /dev/kmem which might be the cause of
these errors.

my /etc/ipf.conf:

pass in all
pass out all
