That's what you get from people who don't understand what software
engineering is vs just hacking something to make it work.

There are a couple of people around who are aware of the problem and
have said something about fixing it, so there is hope that something
might happen - just not quickly.

Another option is to use NetBSD instead of FreeBSD, where ALTQ still
works in the "old" way.
